Equipment

  • Knife
  • Spoon
  • Blender or food processor
  • Fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth
  • Bowl or pitcher
  • Stirring spoon
  • Refrigerator

Ingredients

  • 6 ripe passion fruits
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cut the passion fruit in half. Take the ripe passion fruits. Scoop the pulp and seeds into a bowl with a spoon.
  • To make the juice, put the passion fruit seeds and pulp in a food processor or blender. The pulp should separate from the seeds after a brief period of low-speed blending.
  • Place a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a basin or pitcher to strain the juice. Pour the blended passion fruit mixture into the sieve, and squeeze and extract as much juice as you can with the back of a spoon. Throw away the pulp and seeds.
  • Juice may be made sweeter by tasting the juice after it has been extracted and then adding sugar as desired. Stir well until all of the sugar has dissolved.
  • Juice should be diluted by adding water and stirring until thoroughly mixed. Depending on how strong you want the flavor to be, you may change the amount of water.
  • Place the passion fruit juice in the fridge to cool for about an hour before serving. Add ice cubes to each glass as desired. Add fresh mint leaves to the glasses after adding the cold drink.
  • Enjoy a glass of your handmade passion fruit juice and indulge in the tropical sweetness. You'll be whisked away to a warm paradise by the flavor's tangy-sweet combination and lively scent.
