Ingredients:

  • 1 medium seedless watermelon (approx. 5 lbs)
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 tsp flaky sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Slice off both ends of the watermelon to create a flat base, then stand the watermelon upright.
  2. Carefully carve the rind away from the top to the bottom, following the curve of the fruit, leaving a thin strip of rind if making sticks.
  3. For the Party Stick Method: Slice the watermelon in half lengthwise, place flat side down, and cut 1-inch parallel strips across the melon. Rotate 90 degrees and cut another set of 1-inch parallel strips.
  4. Alternatively, cut the melon into rounds and quarter them into wedges, or dice into 1-inch cubes.
  5. Arrange the watermelon sticks or slices on a chilled platter.
  6. Drizzle fresh lime juice evenly over the fruit and scatter torn mint leaves and a pinch of flaky sea salt across the top.
