Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz vanilla vodka
- 0.5 oz amaretto
- 3 oz chilled pineapple juice
- 0.5 oz grenadine syrup
- 1 maraschino cherry
- 1 fresh pineapple wedge
Instructions:
- Chill the glass. Place your martini glass in the freezer for 5 minutes. Note: Cold glass keeps the drink crisp until the very last sip.
- Measure the spirits. Add 1.5 oz vanilla vodka and 0.5 oz amaretto into the shaker.
- Add the fruit base. Pour in 3 oz chilled pineapple juice. Note: Chilled juice prevents the ice from melting too fast.
- Ice it up. Fill the shaker 3/4 full with large ice cubes.
- Shake vigorously. Shake for 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels frosty and stings your hands.
- Strain carefully. Pour the mixture into your chilled glass. The liquid should look opaque and frothy.
- Perform the Gravity Drop. Slowly pour 0.5 oz grenadine down the side of the glass. Note: Don't stir; let it sink naturally to the bottom.
- Add the garnish. Drop the maraschino cherry into the center.
- Final touch. Slide the fresh pineapple wedge onto the rim.
- Serve immediately. Enjoy while the layers are distinct and the foam is thick.
