Ingredients:
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
- Trim the woody stem ends off each sprout, remove any yellowed outer leaves, and slice them in half vertically.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved sprouts, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss thoroughly until every sprout is evenly coated.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the sprouts onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, placing as many as possible cut-side down. Roast for 20 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan evenly over the top of the sprouts.
- Return to the oven for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbling, and slightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
