Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch fine sea salt
- 2 shots freshly brewed espresso
- 1 cup whole milk
Instructions:
- In the bottom of a 12 oz mug, combine the maple syrup, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and the pinch of salt. Stir together until they form a smooth, thick paste.
- Pour hot espresso shots directly over the syrup mixture and stir vigorously for 15 seconds to bloom the spices and integrate the syrup.
- Heat the milk in a small saucepan or microwave until steaming but not boiling (approximately 150°F/65°C).
- Use a handheld frother for 20–30 seconds, tilting the pitcher slightly to create a whirlpool effect until a dense micro-foam forms.
- Slowly pour the steamed milk into the center of the maple-espresso base, using a spoon to hold back the foam until the mug is nearly full.
- Dollop the remaining velvety foam on top and dust with a tiny pinch of cinnamon.
