Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240ml) apple cider (unfiltered)
- 2 tbsp (25g) brown sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 tsp (0.5g) ground nutmeg
- 12 oz (355ml) chilled cream soda or cola
- 2 tbsp (30ml) heavy cream
- 1 tbsp (15ml) vanilla syrup
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- Combine apple cider, brown sugar, cinnamon stick, and nutmeg in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 10–12 minutes until the liquid has reduced by half and appears syrupy. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Pour the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer into a small jar to remove the cinnamon stick and nutmeg particles.
- Fill a 16 oz glass to the brim with ice. Pour in the vanilla syrup followed by the chilled cream soda or cola, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
- Slowly pour the apple pie syrup over the top, followed by the heavy cream to create a marbling effect.
